For sale is a Classic Silver Gelatin Type 1 Original Photo of Marilyn Monroe. In this outstanding famous image Marilyn is seen in a early pin-up image holding onto a rope.
Bathing suit photos were always in demand during her career and in this photoshoot there were many types of sequences taken. Many of the sequences became famous like her lighting the firework, holding the umbrella, holding a towel and the one seen here holding onto a rope. This was taken by photographer Bert Reisfeld. He was hired by the studio to promote Marilyn's upcoming film "How To Marry Millionaire". This photoshoot was taken during 1953 and this photo is credited to "Phil Burchman Agency".
It measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches and is in Good Condition. There is a corner crease going across the bottom left corner along with the top right corner.
There is also some minor wrinkles throughout the photo along with whats looks like it could of been a spill on the top border which can probably be cleaned off. This is one of Marilyn's more popular Pin-Up photoshoots and truly my favorite. This will look good in any Marilyn photoshoot.
